I sit there monitoring whether the middle right display starts to fade because of cloud, poor seeing, or autoguider errors. Make sure the tracking errors in the bottom display arne't too large. Make sure the instruments haven't fallen over in the top display. My eyes have to keep flicking over here every couple of minutes, but intervention is usually only required every couple of hours when we change fields. At least, on the one instrument I have been present during its use.
